My name is Wayne McKenna and I am the Lead Instructor for LifeBeat First Aid Training. I have been in the Royal Australian Regular Army for 33 years and Medical Corps for 28 Years, being deployed to both the conflicts in East Timor and Afghanistan in that time. Some of my roles include field medic, air retrieval medic and an Afghan medical mentor. Currently I am a Senior Army Medic, Registered Civilian Paramedic and level 5 Enrolled Nurse with over 27 years in Military and Civilian trauma experience and training.

I am an accredited Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support instructor and hold all levels of training and assessment qualifications.
I have a special interest in Austere and Marine First Aid.
